Frequently asked questions
Where can candidates check their individual SSC GD Constable marks?
Individual marks and normalized scores will become available on ssc.gov.in approximately two weeks after the result notification. Candidates must log in using their registered username and password under the candidate dashboard to view their subject-wise marks and overall scorecard within the designated viewing window.
What are the subsequent stages after clearing the SSC GD computer-based test?
Candidates whose names appear in the merit list must report for the Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test. These tests evaluate running endurance, height, chest measurements, and physical fitness criteria. Passing candidates then move forward to the Detailed Medical Examination and final document verification.
How are the SSC GD Constable cut-off marks determined?
Cut-off marks are compiled separately for male and female aspirants based on category, domicile state, border or Naxal-affected districts, and vacancy numbers. Factors including question paper difficulty, candidate attendance, and normalization scores across exam shifts directly determine the threshold score required for physical test qualification.
Will there be a waiting list or second merit list released?
The Staff Selection Commission does not publish a reserve list or supplementary merit list for the computer-based stage. Only candidates fulfilling the official cut-off criteria published in the write-up PDF are summoned for physical tests. Unfilled vacancies, if any, carry over to subsequent recruitment cycles.
What documents must shortlisted candidates carry for PET and PST rounds?
Shortlisted applicants must produce their PET and PST admit card, valid government photo identity proof, 10th class passing certificate, caste certificate if claiming reservation, and domicile certificate. Ex-servicemen and candidates seeking height or chest relaxation must submit relevant discharge or regional relaxation certificates issued by competent authorities.
