What is the maximum age permitted to join as a Senior Resident?
The upper limit stands at 45 years. Candidates belonging to SC and ST communities receive a 5-year relaxation, while OBC applicants receive a 3-year relaxation as per Central Government norms.
What happens if I have already served as a Senior Resident in another hospital?
Total residency tenure across all government and autonomous medical institutes cannot exceed three years. Any prior months served will be subtracted from the maximum permissible period at AIIMS.
