A decommissioned Soviet-built submarine on the beach.

• INS Kursura is a real Kalvari-class diesel-electric submarine preserved on the sands of Ramakrishna Beach.
• Commissioned in 1969, it served the Indian Navy for over three decades, playing a patrol role during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War before decommissioning in 2001.
• Rather than being scrapped, the vessel was hauled ashore and opened as a public museum in 2002.
• Inside, guides walk visitors through tight metal corridors, showing the original sonar setup, periscopes, control dials, battery rooms, and cramped bunk spaces where sailors lived for months.
• You also see the torpedo tubes intact.
• The best months to visit are November through February, when coastal humidity drops.
• The museum opens from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday through Saturday, and opens earlier at 10:00 AM on Sundays.
• Mondays are closed for maintenance.
• Entry tickets cost roughly ₹40 for adults.
