South Central Railway Electric Traction Training Center

Electric Traction Instruction

Technical training sessions cover the core systems required for managing railway electric traction. Staff focus on the mechanical and electrical components that keep locomotive operations running safely. The curriculum stays strictly aligned with standard railway protocols to ensure every participant learns the necessary operational standards.

• Locomotive power distribution
• Traction motor maintenance
• Overhead equipment safety
• Electrical circuit diagnostics

Operational Training Standards

Practical application remains the primary goal throughout each module. Trainees work with hardware models to understand fault detection and system repair techniques. The facility provides clear documentation and hands-on guidance to help personnel master the complexities of electric traction systems.
