About Kanku Kala Kendra Kathak Dance Academy
Our studio runs regular Kathak sessions focusing on genuine footwork, hand gestures and disciplined classical practice.
Learning Classical Kathak in Manjalpur
Students sit together on wooden floors to master foundational rhythms before trying complex footwork. Instructors correct posture right away so mistakes do not become habits.
What happens during sessions?
Classes move steadily through technical drills and expressive abhinaya. Classical training runs here with deliberate discipline:
- Daily practice covers tatkar and hastak postures
- Sessions include padhant where students recite bols aloud
- Lessons prepare dancers for stage presentations and graded assessments
Beginners work alongside long-term learners across standard batches throughout the week.
