About Sur Sangeet Nritya Academy (Saheli Marg)
Parents looking for practical riyaz routines and serious vocal practice for their children visit our practice room.
Classroom Floor
School students alongside older learners. We teach Indian vocal patterns, basic harmonium keys, and correct scale placement directly in the Saheli Marg space.
What Gets Covered?
- Swar identification across octaves
- Harmonium finger placement and hand movement
- Basic taal cycles on counts
- Vocal breath control exercises
Beginners start on the floor with basic sur matching. You practice the primary scales repeatedly until hand movements turn natural. Bring a notebook to jot down compositions, notation shorthand, and weekly exercises. Steady ear training takes months of regular sitting.
