Taal Mandir - School of Tabla

Tabla training in Palayam

Speed comes last. Most beginners try playing fast before their fingers learn clean bol contact on the dayan and bayan. Training here builds correct technique, finger independence, and a solid grasp of teentaal and other basic rhythms.

Anyone can start.

• Hand placement and stroke production
• Rhythmic patterns and recitation
• Accompaniment and solo practice basics

Classes suit children taking up classical music as well as adults returning to an old hobby. You learn to recite the bols clearly before striking the drum, which protects your wrists and builds steady tempo control. Progress depends on daily riyaz at home rather than rushing through compositions. Reach out directly to discuss batch timings before visiting.
