About Preeti's DaAnce classes (kathak)
Parents bring their children here, along with college students who want to build clear classical Kathak footwork.
Learning the classical discipline
Students start with foundational tatkar before moving to hand mudras and complex spins. Sessions focus heavily on steady rhythm, posture, and body coordination.
- Basic footwork cycles
- Hand gestures and expressions
- Rhythm counting techniques
What happens during regular practice?
Learners spend adequate time repeating patterns until their balance settles. Regular practice sessions build stamina step by step, letting dancers gradually absorb formal Kathak compositions alongside theoretical background. Batches stay structured so beginners get clear personal corrections.
