About Nirityam Dance Academy
Based in Athwa, we guide learners through pencil sketching, colour mixing, and observational drawing techniques.
Drawing boards ready in Athwa. Students work side by side on paper studies, starting with proportions before moving into tone. Instruction centres on how your hand holds the pencil, how much pressure touches the paper, and how shadows take form.
What happens in the Athwa studio sessions?
Practising line control builds clean margins. Lessons break down figures, landscape angles, and composition so drafts do not look flat.
- Line weight and hatching exercises
- Form construction using simple geometric blocks
- Freehand still-life layouts
- Controlled shading using graphite pencils
Observational drawing forms the baseline before introducing pigment washes. Beginners track lines slowly. Corrections happen directly on your practice sheet during class.
