About Drummer
Drawing is rarely pure talent; we break down observational sketching and line work through regular studio practice.
Practicing stroke control
Students sit at individual desks working through basic pencil weights, tone gradation, and fundamental shapes. You begin with still-life arrangements before attempting perspective exercises.
- Shading drills with graded graphite
- Still-life contour sketches
- Perspective grids and ink lining
What happens during sessions?
Instructors demonstrate stroke direction on separate boards, pointing out proportion errors as you sketch. Guided pencil control takes up the bulk of the initial weeks before moving to water-soluble mediums. Bring your basic drawing sheets and pencils for each session. You track personal corrections across sheets kept on file.
