A few things patients usually want settled before they decide: • Age. Being older is not by itself a reason to rule out replacement. General health, bone quality and fitness for anaesthesia matter far more than the number. • Insurance. Cashless claims are handled at the associated hospital where the surgery is performed. Bring your policy details and you will know what is covered before committing to anything. • Physiotherapy. It is part of the plan, not an optional extra.
