About Kalamanthan Arts Studio
Teaching pencil control, proportion and colour blending directly at the drawing board, we run hands-on studio sessions in Erandwane.
Practising core drawing skills
Students sketch from physical still-life setups and reference sheets under direct supervision. Instructors correct wrist movement, line weight and perspective right on your practice sheet.
What happens during class?
Work focuses on foundational techniques across different wet and dry mediums:
- Shading drills using graded graphite pencils
- Water colour washes and layering on heavy paper
- Colour mixing basics using oil pastels and acrylics
Daily exercises build disciplined observation habits without rushing your pace. Bring your own basic drawing pad and pencils for the first session.
