About Department of fine arts
Our studios in Old Katra run daily drawing sessions, observational studies, and visual arts practical training.
Studio Drawing Practice
Easels stand across practical rooms. Students work on still life, pencil shading, and proportions alongside faculty reviews.
- Observational line work
- Perspective and tonal exercises
- Charcoal and ink studies
- Composition critique sessions
What happens during critiques?
Work gets reviewed openly. Tutors evaluate line weight, form balance, and surface handling on paper right on the spot. Sessions stay practical, focusing strictly on studio habits and hand control. Students bring their own daily drawing boards and paper folios for studio work. Academic routines follow regular university timelines closely throughout the session.
