About Hindustani Music Classes
Teaching classical ragas and vocal riyaz takes time, and we work with learners right here in Sector 76.
Singing practice in class
Vocal training requires patience. Students begin with swara sadhana and basic alankars before moving forward to simple bandishes and taal cycles on tabla.
- Regular riyaz on foundational notes
- Introduction to basic classical ragas
- Rhythm understanding using teen taal
How do practical sessions work?
Students sit together for guided practice, repeating vocal phrases while listening closely to the harmonium pitch. Each learner gets direct feedback on sur control during their turn. Practice files help with home revision throughout the week.
