About Blind Government School
Most assume special education relies purely on spoken lessons. We teach blind students foundational literacy through structured tactile methods.
Teaching through touch and structured sound
Classroom instruction here prioritises tactile reading tools alongside standard academic syllabi, replacing visual charts with physical models and sensory materials. Students follow the state curriculum using specialised formats adapted directly for non-sighted learning.
- Braille textbooks for core academic subjects
- Daily orientation drills across school pathways
- Mobility training using white canes
- Basic arithmetic practice on tactile frames
Admission suits visually impaired children who need formal schooling combined with essential daily life skills. Direct telephone communication works best for enrollment queries.
