About Chithiram Art's Academy
Teaching pencil control, proportion and shading forms the core of our daily studio practice in Madurai Main.
What happens in class?
Lines come first. Students practice straight strokes, curves, and grid measurements before moving to tone values. Once hand stability develops, lessons progress into still life studies, charcoal blending, and water-based mediums.
Practical studio training
Sessions suit school students needing foundational practice as well as older learners revisiting manual drafting skills.
- Pencil grip and stroke density drills
- Basic perspective and proportion checks
- Light-and-shade tonal grading with graphite
- Introduction to brush handling and color mixing
Students work on individual drawing boards with direct corrections on their sheets. Regular desk checks help spot proportion errors early.
