🎥 Recognizing a Resting Tremor in Parkinson’s Disease Have you noticed a hand or finger shaking when it is completely at rest, but the tremor reduces when the person uses the hand? This video demonstrates a typical resting tremor, one of the important clinical features seen in Parkinson’s disease. 🔹 Usually occurs when the limb is relaxed 🔹 May lessen during voluntary movement 🔹 Can begin on one side and later involve the other 🔹 May appear as a characteristic “pill-rolling” tremor of the fingers ⚠️ Not every tremor means Parkinson’s disease. Essential tremor, medications, thyroid disorders and several other neurological conditions can also cause tremor. A proper neurological examination is essential for diagnosis. Early recognition and appropriate treatment can significantly improve quality of life.
