About Kalakriti Art Gallery
Our studio hosts drawing sessions, visual arts education, and curated exhibits for students exploring traditional art forms.
Studio Drawing Work
Students study narrative sketching and indigenous motifs through scheduled drawing batches. We break down canvas preparation, pigment application, and freehand line execution using regional styles.
Living Lineages Exhibition
Our programming includes structured reviews of Indian folk work. The Living Lineages display features specific heritage formats:
- Gond paintings by Saroj and Venkat Raman Shyam
- Bhil work by Bhuri Bai
- Warli compositions by Balu Jivya Mashe
- Cheriyal scroll painting techniques
Practical Learning Formats
Work revolves around live demonstrations. Learners handle traditional line work and develop observation skills directly off curated master pieces.
