Learning the classical technique

Adavus form our foundation. Students practice basic steps, body postures, rhythmic footwork and traditional hand gestures. Regular physical drills build balance alongside stamina for stage recitals.

• Foundational adavu practice and footwork drills
• Traditional abhinaya and hand mudra training
• Rhythm patterns aligned with classical talam

Preparing for performance

Practice sessions remain demanding. Dancers work on stamina through repeated movement patterns, learning to coordinate facial expression with complex foot speed before taking on full items like jatiswarams. Parents should plan for sustained practice routines at home throughout the training cycle.
