What is rTMS? Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive, painless brain stimulation therapy that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain. It is commonly used to treat depression, OCD, migraine, and is increasingly used in stroke rehabilitation and Parkinson's disease. Unlike surgery or electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), rTMS requires no anesthesia, no hospitalization, and no recovery time. Patients remain awake throughout the treatment and can return to their normal routine immediately after each session. How Does rTMS Work? A magnetic coil is placed gently on the scalp.
