About nrityanya kathak
Kathak is often mistaken for simple stage choreography, but we focus strictly on authentic classical footwork and rhythm in Jakhan.
What happens in our sessions?
Training covers pure classical technique rather than Bollywood routines. Students work on padhant recitation, tatkar footwork drills, and foundational chakkars across different teentaal speeds before moving toward abhinaya pieces.
- Tatkar footwork timed to laya
- Hastak hand movements and posture
- Padhant recitation with clear bols
- Chakkars and balance control
Practical routine notes
Classes require regular practice at home. Because classical dance demands stamina and sharp ankle control, progress takes steady attendance over months. Parents and adult learners should plan for consistent weekly schedules.
