About Lucent Computer Typing and Shorthand Institute
Most assume keyboard speed comes naturally without drills. We teach systematic finger placement and stenography in Cidco.
Desk space and steady practice
Desks fill early here. Students and job aspirants sit alongside each other, practicing keystrokes amid constant mechanical tapping.
Building rhythm takes time. Fast fingers matter little if backspace keys get hit after every sentence, so instructors correct finger posture on physical machines and computer terminals before speed tests begin.
Can anyone pick up shorthand?
Shorthand demands ear-hand coordination, not just speed.
- Daily dictation practice at graded speeds
- Keyboard posture checks from day one
- Timed transcription tests on desktop computers
Regular attendance makes the difference between passing competitive typing tests and struggling with backspaces.
