Over the years, I have learnt that a good CSR proposal is only the beginning. What truly matters is what happens on the ground. Working closely with communities, beneficiaries, teams and partners has taught me that strong CSR implementation comes down to five things: Field presence. Community mobilisation. Strong implementation systems. Monitoring & reporting. And most importantly — outcome orientation. For me, the question is not just, “How many people participated?” It is, “What changed in their lives?” The photograph in this carousel captures exactly that. Payal returned to RCED after receiving her first salary, carrying a small box of sweets for us. A simple gesture, but for me, that box represented confidence, employment, independence and a new beginning. A programme completed is an output. A livelihood created is an outcome. As RCED completes 30+ years in skill development, entrepreneurship and livelihoods, this remains the approach I strongly believe in: Behind every CSR number, there should be a real person, real change and real progress.
