About Designversity
Hands get messy here while we teach students how design concepts translate into physical form.
Working with hands and forms
Flat screens do not show everything. We introduce students to physical modeling so they learn volume directly.
- Kneading clay to push out trapped air pockets
- Testing form and light reflection before building digital files
- Checking practical ergonomics on real surfaces
Building tactile thinking
Students work through an ongoing cycle of shaping, scraping, and rebuilding prototypes by hand, which helps them catch awkward balance issues early instead of discovering structural defects much later in production.
